Do you know where to find a canon lens adapter/mount for video cameras?
I am looking for an adapter/mount for canon lenses (nikon as well) for video cameras. I had run across the manufacturer a while back and lost the page. So i know it exists but do not know the name. It did have a remote control focus thing-a-majig. Also I am not looking for the Redrock or Letus 35mm adapters I am looking for an all-in-one EOS adapter.

if you just happen to have the Canon XL1 or 2 as your video camera, then Canon made an EOS adapter available for shooting with Canon's EF series photo lenses. Cost is over $450 US and part number is 3162A002. using this adaptor results in a 7.2x magnification factor with your 35 mm EF lens. great for nature shooters that only need super telephoto lenses. If you think this adaptor will give you the cinematic feel of a Letus, you are quite mistaken.

Does anyone use Nikon or Canon camera with M42 Adaptor to make full use of M42 lens mount?
Hello Im looking to buy either Nikon D90 or Canon EOS Rebel T1I 500D but i have different Praktica (M42) lenses.I found that there are some M42 adapters were made for Nikon and Canon mounts but im not sure if they work properly (focusing for infinity) .Thanks

Yes, both do have M42 lens mount adapters. Nikon adapters must have an optical glass in the adapter to correct infinity focus. This will make most wide lenses, those 35mm and below, unusable due to their protruding rear ends. Then, some Nikon bodies won't meter with manual lenses. I'm not sure if Canon meters manual lenses though but I'm sure focusing to infinity won't be a problem. If you still haven't bought a body yet, consider the Pentax dSLR. It can also use M42 mount (also called Pentax screw) lenses through the use of a cheap adaptor. Make sure the adaptor you get is flushed on the camera once installed to be able to focus to infinity correctly. The best part is Pentax bodies meter with the old lenses. Pentax has openly claimed that all lenses they made will work with their newer digital bodies. I have a box full of M42 lenses from 28mm to 500mm under several brands, not only Pentax, and they all work with my K200d body perfectly. My dSLR also has a focus assist feature that helps me take sharp photos even with manual focus lenses. With aperture-priority, I have adapted to digital photography without changing my shooting style from film. This is the main reason I remained with Pentax when I decided to get a digital backup camera to my film SLRs.

Different 50mm lens causes different lens flare?
http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/6263/dpp0001copy.jpg Both photos were taken with a Canon EOS Rebel XTi with flash at 1/200s and f/11. The top photo is taken with a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 prime lens with EF mount adapter. The bottom photo is taken with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. I'm referring to the reflection of the camera's flash on the chrome when I say "lens flare." I don't know if this is the proper term. What causes this difference in lens flare? Does this say anything about the quality of the lens? If so, which lens is better and why?

It has to do with the number of lenses. It is most likely that the lenses you used each have a different number of components. As the light passes through each lens its refraction is changed and thus the variations in the "lens flare."

Pentax DA lenses on Nikon or Canon?
I'm curious if there is an adapter to mount a current Pentax DA lens onto a current Nikon or Canon APS-C body (like a D3100 or EOS T1i). If so, would any features be disabled (metering, autofocus)? Thanks for any help!

Converters do exist... But from what I've read they are typically poor optical quality. The converter needs an optical element to compensate for the difference in the distance of the flange (which is longer for Nikon). There are quite a few offered on eBay. http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=pentax+to+nikon&_sacat=0&_odkw=pentax+da+to+nikon&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
